Legalization
Documents issued by Emirati Authorities and need to be used in Italy, they must first to be legalized from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the UAE, translated and then submited to the Embassy of Italy in order to get the legalization.
Translation
In every case, the document to be translated has to be previously legalized by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Embassy will attest translations, only for Italian/English languages and vice versa, made by the interested person or a third party, for the following documents:
– Civil status and residence certificates
– Passports, IDs, and driving licenses
– School and academic degrees
You are kindly requested to bring with you a .doc version in case any amendment is needed.
Translations ITALIAN-ENGLISH and ENGLISH-ITALIAN
For the translation from English into Italian (and viceversa) of documents other than those mentioned above, it is necessary to use the services of one of the legal translators known to this Embassy.
Translations ITALIAN-ARABIC and ARABIC-ITALIAN
For translations of documents from Arabic into Italian you must necessarily comply with this procedure:
– Translation from Arabic into English done by a translator recognized by UAE Ministry of Justice;
– Attestation by UAE Ministry of Justice followed by attestation by UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
– Translation from English into Italian by one of the legal translators known to this Embassy;
– Attestation by the Italian Embassy.
