Dubai, 04 April 2025 – From April 14th to 17th, the United Arab Emirates will host “A Journey through Made in Italy,” a week-long journey showcasing Italian excellence, unfolding in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah. The event series, promoted by Italiacamp along with the Italian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, the Consulate General in Dubai, and the Italian Cultural Institute, in collaboration with Challenge Network and Triumph MENA part of Triumph Group International Benefit Corporation, aims to celebrate Made in Italy not just in manufacturing, fashion, and food, but as a manifestation of research, art, creativity, entrepreneurship, and craftsmanship.

This initiative is part of the celebrations for the National Day of Made in Italy, supported by the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, to promote Italian excellence globally on the anniversary of Leonardo Da Vinci’s birth on April 15th.

Ambassador Lorenzo Fanara stated, “We have chosen to dedicate an entire week to promoting Made in Italy in the UAE, recognizing the strategic importance of this country for Italian exports, as evidenced by its inclusion among the high-potential priority countries in the new Export Plan launched by Vice President and Minister Tajani. In 2024, our exports to the UAE reached 7.9 billion euros, with a year-on-year increase of 19.4%. To further strengthen these excellent results, we have decided to implement an ambitious system-wide action, together with Italiacamp and the Italian institutions and companies in the UAE, promoting our excellences throughout the UAE at 360 degrees”.

The event will feature workshops, meetings, exhibitions, and networking opportunities, with the participation of companies, startups, industry experts, and institutional representatives. A unique opportunity to promote Made in Italy in a highly competitive and strategic international context.

On April 15th, the National Day of Made in Italy, the Ambassador’s residence in Abu Dhabi will host a gathering focused on the evolution of Italian identity, involving representatives from business, media, and institutions.

On April 16th, the event will move to the Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park, one of the leading Emirati centers for research development, where discussions between representatives of institutions, academia, and industry will focus on innovation as a driver of growth and cooperation. In Dubai, the Lamborghini Showroom will be the venue for an event dedicated to Italian luxury, an opportunity to delve into the dynamics of the Emirati market alongside some of the most prominent brands in the sector, including Dolce & Gabbana, and Bulgari Resort and Residences.

The week will conclude on April 17th with a gathering at the Dubai Hub for Made in Italy by Italiacamp, during which the second edition of the publication “Success Stories – Italy of Ingenuity and Excellence in the World” by Roberto Santori, founder of the Made in Italy community, in collaboration with ANSA Agency, will be presented. This will be a moment for dialogue and networking among business, cultural, and innovation leaders, designed to share successful internationalization experiences and promote new synergies between Italy and the UAE.

During the event, from April 15th to 20th, the Consulate General in Dubai will promote the Italian Lounge at Art Dubai, the largest contemporary art fair in the Middle East. The Lounge will host works by Italian artists and galleries, providing a space for discussion and exploration of new perspectives on art, in a vibrant dialogue between creativity and technology.

Preceding the event, starting from April 11th, the Italian Cultural Institute will curate two exhibitions dedicated to design and architecture and the intersection between figurative arts and fashion, hosted at the Canadian University of Dubai and the Institute’s premises in Abu Dhabi.

The official media partners of the event will be Askanews and Radio Italia Dubai. With “A Journey through Made in Italy”, Italiacamp renews its commitment to the internationalization of Italian companies, promoting the know-how of our country and strengthening economic and cultural ties with one of the most dynamic regions in the world.
