The Visa Information System started operating on 2 October 2012
The Visa Office handles the issuance of visas allowing applicants entrance into Italy or the EU. Office personnel are available to the public for consultation on what type of visa to apply for.
The Visa Section of the Embassy which is exclusively in charge of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi only, operates through VFS Global Abu Dhabi which manages the ITALY VISA APPLICATION CENTRE according to the following schedule:
- visa application submission Mon-Fri 9am - 3pm
- passport collection Mon-Fri 9am - 5pm.
Schedules may change during the month of Ramadan, we suggest checking the VFS website updates
Family members of EU nationals can have direct access to the Embassy's Visa Office (appointment via email to visa.abudhabi@esteri.it), without paying for perception or, if they prefer, at the VFS Global center by paying the fees charged for outsourcing service.
Residents of the Emirate of Dubai and the Northern Emirates are encouraged to get in touch with the Consulate General of Dubai, which operates through the VFS Global Dubai office
